Born from a Love of Adventure (and a Dislike of Overcrowded Campsites!)
Hi, we’re Tom and Rozzi, the husband and wife team behind Off Grid Camp! Our journey started with a shared passion for adventure and a desire to escape the hustle and bustle of traditional campsites.
On one of our first trips away together, we were disappointed to find ourselves crammed into a busy field, surrounded by caravans and hookups. It was a far cry from the wild camping experiences we both craved.
Determined to find more secluded and scenic spots, we spent countless hours researching locations, scouring maps, and exploring hidden corners of the UK. We knew there had to be a better way to connect with nature and enjoy the freedom of off-grid camping.
And so, the idea for Off Grid Camp was born! We envisioned a community that brought together adventurous overlanders with landowners who were happy to share the wilder corners of their land for a small fee.
With Tom’s family background in farming and Rozzi’s career in agronomy, we were passionate about supporting rural communities and promoting sustainable tourism.
Today, Off Grid Camp now has a spread of unique locations right across the UK, each offering a different off-grid experience. We’re constantly exploring and adding new locations to our network, ensuring there’s something for everyone.
When we’re not busy building Off Grid Camp, you’ll find us exploring the countryside in our trusty Land Rover Defender 110, accompanied by our faithful canine companion, Thistle.
